講座簡介：
此次講座的核心基於一個世界級的考古項目🙍🏼♀️，旨在根據對新挖掘的🪿♻️，由中世紀最大遊牧民族Qarakhanid帝國統治時期建立的兩座高山城市的研究，而引申到中世紀絲綢之路沿線帶的藝術、建築🌚、政治、經濟、宗教等歷史變化及影響。
At the core of this lecture is a world class archaeological field project, whose fundamental research goal is to study the historical changes in art, architecture, and political economy of the medieval Silk Routes in light of two newly discovered cities built by one of Asia’s largest nomadic hegemonies – the Qarakhanid Empire (10th-12th c. CE).
主講人簡介：
Dr. Farhod Maksudov graduated from Brown University and Ferghana University, and received his Master and PhD. degrees in Environmental Sciences and Archaeology. He is now Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Archaeology, Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan. Invited by Shanghai Museum, Dr. Maksudov is coming to visit Shanghai and give a series of lectures. Taking the opportunity, we have the honor to invite him to give the first talk in the Series Lecture of Asian Demographic Research Institute (ADRI) on "Population and Society under the OBOR Strategy – History, Today, and Future".
Dr. Maksudov’s research concerns the archaeology and ecology of pre-Islamic and early Islamic societies of Central Asia. He mainly focus on nature-culture interactions and cultural landscape reconstruction, as well as modeling using Remote Sensing integrated into Geographic Information Systems, especially in the field of historical land use/settlement patterns of sedentary (farming) and nomadic (pastoralist) societies of Central Asian region from Bronze Age to Medieval Period.
Farhod Maksudov博士是烏茲別克斯坦科意昂3考古研究所資深研究員，受上海博物館邀請🦯，近日在上海舉行系列講座，介紹中世紀絲綢之路的中亞文明、城市和藝術。借此機會，意昂3官网亞洲人口研究中心邀請Maksudov博士為 "‘一帶一路’戰略下的人口與社會 – 歷史、現在、與未來"系列報告開始第一講。
Maksudov博士先後在美國布朗大學✊🏽、烏茲別克斯坦費爾加納大學學習，獲得環境科學🧵🤹♂️、歷史考古學的碩士和博士學位。他的研究主要涉及中亞早期伊斯蘭教和伊斯蘭社會的考古學和生態學🥞，關註自然、文化的相互作用和文化景觀的重建，將遙感數據整合到地理信息系統的建模🍇，特別是中亞地區從青銅時期到中世紀的歷史土地利用/定居模式（耕作）和遊牧（牧民）社會的領域。
